GCSC hosts site visit for NASC Sports Event Symposium
The Greater Columbus Sports Commission hosted three representatives of the National Association of Sports Commissions in early March in its continuing effort to host the NASC Sports Events Symposium in April 2010 or 2011.
Beth Hecquet, Director of Meeting & Events, National Association of Sports Commissions; Beth Brown, Vice President, Sales, Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau; and Charlie Spiegel, Sports Sales Manager, Lake Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau received a tour of the city, including stops at convention and sports facilities, hotels, restaurants and attractions, and met with two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin. The group also received surprise visits from team mascots Stinger, Crew Cat and Krash.
The National Association of Sports Commissions will announce later this year the site of its meetings in 2010 and 2011.
