GCAC Begins Strategic Planning Process
The Greater Columbus Arts Council has hired Columbus consulting firm Benefactors Counsel LLC to help create a five-year strategic plan for the organization.
This will be the second strategic plan for GCAC, now in its 35th year of operation. During the planning process, GCAC will incorporate information from the recent reports released by the Columbus Cultural Leadership Consortium, which consists of the leaders of the area's 15 largest arts organizations, and a report to be released in March by the City Council's Creative Columbus Policy Steering Committee.
"As we move forward, we'll use our strategic plan as a public document and road map," said GCAC President Bryan W. Knicely. "So we want to make sure it's inclusive."
GCAC's goal is to finalize its plan this spring.
