Discover the Art: 2008 Columbus Arts Festival June 6, 7 & 8There's so much to discover at this year's Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable, which will take place June 6, 7 and 8. The 2008 Festival is full of new, exciting things to see and do, from the Giant Eagle Family Stage, to exhibitions of work by local artists, to the attractions in our new Discovery District location, including the Columbus College of Art and Design, the Columbus Museum of Art and Columbus State Community College.

Columbus Ranks In Top 10 As An Arts DestinationColumbus is a top 10 destination for the arts, according to a ranking in the June issue of American Style magazine, a respected national arts magazine. This year, Columbus ranks number 10 in the top 25 of cities with a population of 500,000 or higher, putting it above cities like Portland, Ore., Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This is the third year that Columbus has made the annual list of top big cities for the arts, which is determined by a popular vote of American Style readers.

GCAC Announces 2008 Business Arts Partnership Award WinnersThe Greater Columbus Arts Council awarded National City, Cameron Mitchell Catering Company and Grip Technology with 2008 Business Arts Partnership Awards for their exemplary support of the arts.

Auction To Benefit Hanley Art FundThe Greater Columbus Arts Council will host an auction of former President Ray Hanley's personal art collection to benefit the Hanley Art Fund, which supports individual artists in Columbus. Proceeds from the event will go to the Hanley Art Fund, which honors Hanley's life and work by supporting individual artists in the community.
